THREE:By day Felipa was left in camp with the cook, while Landor and the men worked on ahead, returning at sundown. This work, on which his fame rests, was greatly read and admired at the time, but the discoveries of modern science have reduced it to mere ingenious but unfounded theory. He was also author of "Arch?ologica Philosophica," and some lesser treatises.
